Structure Fire on Lakeview
Wed. Jun 6th 2012

On June 6 at approximately 2:45, the Garrard County Fire District One was dispatched to 151 Lake View Dr for a working structure fire.  Units arrived on scene and confirmed a a working fire, with flames coming from a window.  Lancaster Fire, and Buckeye responded as well.  The fire was quickly extinguished through an aggressive interior attack and a search of the home to ensure no one was inside.

Unfortunately, the home was occupied by 9 childern and 3 adults who were not home at the time.  2 rooms were completely destroyed, with heavy smoke damage to the rest of the house.  Crews remained on scene for the next hour to ensure complete overhaul, and to assist the family.

Great job to all Garrard County Fire District One and Lancaster Fire Department members for the job well done!
