About Us

Welcome to Garrard County Fire District One!!

We are a volunteer fire department located in Garrard County Kentucky that was founded in 1967.  We provide fire protection, rescue, and many other services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to our district which encompasses the central part of Garrard County.  We respond to an average of 175 incidents a year throughout our district as well as providing aid to other fire and EMS departments in our county, responding from three different stations throughout our district.

Our most important asset are our members, as we have around 20 dedicated and highly trained individuals.  Our members give a great deal of their time to learn and practice the art of firefighting.  Members attend training each Tuesday to maintain proficency in many different subject areas.  If you are interested see our tab on recruitment.
